Anna C. Walsh (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Anna Chiya Walsh of Lebanon, Missouri, passed away at Lebanon North Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lebanon, Missouri on Thursday, April 13, 2023. She was born in Japan on June 5, 1930. At the time of her passing she was ninety-two years, ten months and eight days of age.
Anna was raised in Japan and completed her schooling there. She then moved to the United States. She was married and had four sons. She later married Ed Walsh. He passed away in 1989.
In 2013, she became a resident at Lebanon North Nursing and Rehab. She made several friends there and enjoyed being with them. Her happiest times were when she worked at the Commissary at Fort Leonard Wood, playing Bingo with her friends, and being with her friends.
It was a big adjustment for Anna to leave her family in Japan and move to the U.S., but she was proud to be a United States citizen. She introduced her family and friends to many Japanese foods and customs.
A visitation will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 10 a.m. - 12 noon at Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ozark Memorial VFW 3176 Cemetery in St. Robert, Missouri.
