Anthony "Tony" Fisher (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Anthony Allen Fisher, son of Tony Lee and Caroline Sue Sutton Fisher, was born November 23, 1956, in Kansas City, Missouri. He departed this life Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Mountain Creek Family Resort, near Eldridge, Missouri, at the age of sixty-one years, eight months, and five days.
On January 1, 2009, he was united in marriage to Kimberly Sue Oliver, and they shared the last nine years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Shawn Michael Fisher.
Tony is survived by his wife, Kimberly, of the home; three daughters, Amanda Robertson, of Humboldt, Kansas, Kimberly Kaufman, of Manhattan, Kansas, and Hannah Gruver, of Lebanon, Missouri; three sons, Joshua Pendergrass, Samuel Pendergrass, both of Lebanon, Missouri, and Timothy Pendergrass, and his wife, Brittany, of Richland, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren; four brothers, Roy E. Fisher, Ronnie R. Fisher, both of Lebanon, Missouri, Richard A. Miller, of Springfield, Missouri, and Terry L. Miller, of Stockton, Illinois; two sisters, Debra Sue Sutton, and Theda Jane Ockerman, both of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and then lived most of his early years in the Lebanon area. He served his country faithfully in the United States Navy for a few years. He lived in Springfield, Missouri, for a time where he worked at Wal Mart. He had also lived in Hale, Missouri, before moving back to Lebanon. He was employed at Independent Stave Company for several years before becoming disabled. He and Kimberly had made their home near Lebanon for the last few years.
Tony volunteered at the Free Store and the Salvation Army and also did his own ministry helping anyone in need with furniture, household items and also spiritual blessings. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and hunting, and liked being outdoors. He was a very friendly man who never met a stranger. He loved his family dearly and especially enjoyed his grandchildren.
Tony was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
