Anthony B. Ruiz (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Anthony B. Ruiz, son of Anthony M. Ruiz and Kia Jefferson Ruiz, was born February 26, 1996 in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Saturday, July 8, 2023 in his home in Conway, Missouri, at the age of twenty-seven years, four months and twelve days.
He was raised in Conway and was a graduate of Conway High School where he also played basketball for the Conway Bears High School basketball team. He entered the National Guard as a young man and served faithfully for six years.
Anthony is survived by his mother, Kia Jefferson Ruiz of Conway, Missouri; his step-mother, Samantha Amaba of Miami, Florida; his brothers, Robert Ruiz of Monett, Missouri and Ryan Jefferson of Lebanon, Missouri; his sister, Kayla Jefferson of Camdenton, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Haley Venolia of Lebanon, Missouri; his maternal grandmother, Elena Grace Jefferson of Conway, Missouri; his aunt, Susan Gardner of Pleasant Hope, Missouri; an uncle, Robert Jefferson and his wife, Camille of Los Angeles, California; nieces and nephews, Andre, Mariah and Brielle; a special friend, Tiffany Powers of Conway, Missouri; and a cousin, William Gardner of Conway, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony Ruiz; the man who raised him, Bobby Burnett; and his brother, Matthew Dyer.
Anthony loved playing basketball, working out, and spending time with his friends. He enjoyed shooting guns. Anthony also liked listening to music and attending concerts. Most of all, Anthony looked forward to the times he could get together with his family.
Anthony was a good friend and cared deeply for his family. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will hold tight to the wonderful memories he made with them during his lifetime.
Services for Anthony Ruiz will be Friday, July 14, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon. Visitation will be Friday, July 14 from noon - 2 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be Tuesday, July 18 at 1 p.m. at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.
