Arta was the beloved daughter of the late Art and Pearl Camey of Humansville, Missouri and the devoted wife of 62 years to Lowell. She was the loving mother of Teresa Collier (Mike), Cheryl (Alex), and Craig (Deborah): cherished grandmother of Ryan Lane, Derrick Lane (Rachael), Meredith Collier (Mathew), Meg Marek (Przemek), Evan Collier (Ali), Olivia Nosal (Jonathan), Andrew Olson, and Alexander Olson.
She was the great-grandmother of Harrison and Amelia Lane, Finnegan and Magdalena Conger, Gio and Sebastian Nosal, Serafina Marek, and Olive Collier. Arta was a much-loved aunt and friend to many.
After graduating from Humansville High School in 1960, Arta attended the Kansas City Art Institute. She was united in marriage to Lowell Olson in 1961 in Humansville. They settled in Lathrop, Missouri in 1971 and together, she and Lowell built their farm there.
Arta was an active member of the Lathrop community, volunteering at the Senior Citizen Center and at her children’s schools. Arta was a talented and creative artist and seamstress who enjoyed quilting and creating beautiful works of art and crafts. She loved to travel but cherished her time at home on the farm, caring for the land, gardening, and feeding the birds.
Arta will always be remembered for her kind and generous heart and her wonderful sense of humor. May God bless her and keep her.
