Artie R. Eddleman (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Artie Rovella Eddleman, daughter of Noah Alexander and Rose Ellen Warden Copling, was born April 29, 1934, in Leasburg, Missouri. She departed this life Sunday, December 26, 2010, in Christian Health Care South, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-six years, seven months, and twenty-six days.
On November 26, 1949, she was united in marriage to Perry Eddleman, Jr., and to this union two daughters and one son were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Perry, on January 6, 2006; a great-grandson, Rocco Patnaude-Villafane; four brothers, Benny, Vernon, Otis, and Alfred Copling; and five sisters, Hazel Hayes, Violet Roth, Ida Coffman, Vivian Prottie, and Arlie Kuhlman.
Artie is survived by two daughters, Joyce Waterman, and her husband, Monte, and Melody Hawkins, and her husband, Lionel, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Gary Eddleman, and his wife, Carla, of Eldridge, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Henry Copling, and his wife, Patsy, and Leroy Copling, and his wife, Marilyn, all of Cuba, Missouri; a sister, Bernice Hayes, of Steelville, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in the Cuba, Missouri community. After she and Perry were married, they made their home in the Lebanon, Missouri area and lovingly raised their children. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her husband and family, Artie also worked as a waitress and in the health care field for several years.
She was very family oriented and enjoyed caring for her home and cooking for her family. She also enjoyed being outdoors where her favorite activity was fishing. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed all of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Artie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them throughout the years.
