Asako S. Ruble (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Asako S. Ruble was born August 4, 1935, in Japan, and departed this life Saturday, June 30, 2012, in her home, in Phillipsburg, Missouri, at the age of seventy-six years, ten months, and twenty-six days.
On August 3, 1965, she was united in marriage to Lotus Jewell Ruble, and they shared forty-two years before his passing on February 24, 2008.
Her parents also preceded her in death.
Asako is survived by a sister, Yoshiko Yasada, of Japan; two nieces and two nephews, of Japan; a brother-in-law, Leaun Ruble, and his wife, Wilma, of Lebanon, Missouri; four sisters-in-law, Mary Ruble, of Falcon, Missouri, Leota Pace, of Lebanon, Missouri, Susan Ruble, and LeEtta Williams, and her husband, Burvel, all of Phillipsburg, Missouri; a number of other nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Japan, and then met Lotus while he was serving in the United States Navy. After she and Lotus were married, they lived in various places while he was serving in the military, including New Mexico, Okinawa, and Florida. After he retired from the Navy, they moved to the Lebanon, Missouri area in 1976, and made their home. Throughout the years, Asako was a devoted homemaker to her husband, and also helped him in his antique dealings.
She enjoyed watching television, was a wonderful cook, particularly known for her delicious fried rice. She loved her pet dogs, and enjoyed spending time with her family, and especially her nieces and nephews.
Asako was a loving sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and many friends.
