Audie Mae Bohling (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Audie Mae Bohling, daughter of Silas Andrew and Audie Mae Wallace Woods, was born February 4, 1951, in Fresno, California. She departed this life Saturday, September 28, 2019, in her home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-eight years, seven months, and twenty-three days.
On December 17, 1977, she was united in marriage to Richard David Bohling, and to this union two daughters and one son were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and five brothers, Elisha, Leonard, Merl, Jack, and Larry Woods.
Audie is survived by her husband of forty-one years, Rick, of the home; two daughters, Wynona Curtis, and her husband, Benjamin, and Kimberley Massey, and her husband, Delbert, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Dion Bohling, and his wife, Sonya, of Lebanon, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four brothers, Robert Woods, of Fulton, Mississippi, Bill Woods, and his wife, Bonnie, Berl Woods, and his wife, Terry, and Junior Woods, and his wife, Roxie, all of Fresno, California; a sister, Hazel Goode, of Rio Linda, California; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in the Fresno, California area and attended Washington Union High School, in Fresno, California. She then attended Sierra College in Rockland, California. She began working at American Safety Seatbelt Factory in Fresno, where she met the love of her life, Rick. For over thirty years they made their home in California. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her husband and family, Audie also worked at the Faith Christian Academy in Citrus Heights, California. After moving to Lebanon, Missouri, in 2005, she was a cafeteria worker for the Lebanon R-III Schools and then worked at the Kiddieland Learning Center in Lebanon.
Audie was an active member of First Apostolic Church in Citrus Heights, California from 1979 until May of 2005. She then transferred her membership to Harvest Tabernacle-United Pentecostal Church in Lebanon in June of 2005.
In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, baking, working puzzles, and entertaining. She also liked sitting on her porch, reading her Bible and devotionals. Her favorite activity was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Audie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
A memorial has been established to Harvest Tabernacle, Project 19.
