Audrey Carter's Obituary
Audrey McIntosh Carter, daughter of Bill and Pearl Moore Roadlander, was born October 29, 1929, in Norwood, Missouri, and departed this life on Friday, April 1, 2011, in Rocky Ridge Manor, Mansfield, Missouri, at the age of eighty-one years, five months and two days. She was united in marriage to Jesse McIntosh and to this union seven children were born. After Jesse passed away, she was married to Murl Long and to this union two children were born. Preceding her in death were her husbands; a granddaughter, Tina McIntosh; a sister, Goldie Brown; and a half-sister, Grace Hyatt. Audrey is survived by four sons, Eddie McIntosh, Paul McIntosh and Donnie McIntosh all of Norwood and Ben Long of the State of Arizona; five daughters, Wilma Lancaster and Norma Coday both of Mansfield, Vicky Collins of Norwood, Teresa Kennedy of Prairie Home, Missouri, and Mary Long of Kansas City, Missouri; twenty grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mae Reynolds of Paola, Kansas and Shirley Foshee of Harrah, Oklahoma; three half-sisters, Martha Shields of Columbia, Missouri, Carrie McCall of Mtn. Grove and Mary Peters of Formosa, Kansas; a half-brother, Bill Pasley of Hartville. Audrey was a homemaker and lived all of her life in the Norwood, Mtn. Grove and Mansfield areas. She lived in Norwood before the passing of Jesse in 1967. Audrey then resided in Mtn. Grove and after having a stroke in 2002, she moved to Rocky Ridge Manor in Mansfield where she lived until her passing. While at Rocky Ridge Manor, she attended church services, enjoyed playing and especially winning the bingo and horseshoe games. Audrey had a difficult life but we loved her.
