Audrey Copeland (Mansfield)'s Obituary
Audrey Louise Copeland, daughter of Horace and Fannie Wright Riley was born in a covered wagon on May 27, 1921 near Greenwood, Missouri, and died May 6, 2013 in Rocky Ridge Manor in Mansfield, Missouri, at the age of ninety-one years, eleven months and nine days.
On August 18, 1939, she was united in marriage to Glenn Copeland in Lead Hill, Arkansas, and to this union four sons were born. Glenn preceded her in death on January 11, 1959. She was also preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Kathryn Taylor, Laverne Plummer, Normagene Matney, Dolly Matney and Emma Henslee; four brothers, John, Lawrence, Wayne and Hubert Riley.
Audrey is survived by four sons, Darrell Copeland and his wife, Janet of Phoenix, Arizona, Kurt Copeland and his wife, Susan of Wallace, Idaho, Anthony Copeland of Wailuku, Hawaii, and Stephen Copeland and his wife Jackie of Mansfield, Missouri; four granddaughters, Karesa Burr of Joplin, Missouri, Stephanie Jenkins of Willard, Missouri, Jessica Doty of Nixa, Missouri, and Cari Copeland of Seattle, Washington; six great-grandchildren as well several nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Audrey graduated from Mansfield High School in the Class of 1939 and lived almost her entire life in or near Mansfield. After the death of Glenn, she worked at the old Mansfield Hospital and Mansfield Nursing Home for many years to provide for her family.
Audrey had made her profession of faith in Christ and was a faithful member of the Mansfield First Assembly of God Church.
In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, reading and word puzzles.
Audrey was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and the dedication she had to her family.
