After she graduated high school she started working for an insurance agency while she went to school. She met Clarence and fell in love and the two were married on November20, 1966. After they married they moved to Springfield and Audrey became a CNA, she spent most of her time working for St. John’s Hospital. After Clarence passed she continued to live in Springfield until 2003 when she moved to Hartville.
While she was in Hartville, she joined the Little Creek Baptist Church and joined the Women’s Missionary Union and went on a number of missions helping communities all over the country. She was a very witty and had a life long passion for learning. No one could tell her she couldn’t do anything because she would turn around and do it anyways, no matter how difficult. She loved to garden and to read, especially her bible. She also enjoyed volunteering her time with different activities within the church.
Audrey was a caring mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, and dear friend. While she was in the care center, Audrey said, “You can’t have faith and worry at the same time, God does not make mistakes.” Audrey lived by those words. The family would like to extend their gratitude to many caring employees and friends at the Hartville Care Center. She felt very loved.
Memorial can be made to Resident Fund at Hartville Care Center through Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Hartville.
