Aumilda Waller's Obituary
Aumilda Loree Waller, daughter of Jim and Ella Harris Riddlespurger, was born March 10, 1922 in Tolbert, Texas and departed this life August 3, 2010 in Hartville Care Center, Hartville, Missouri at the age of eighty-eight years, four months and twenty-three days.
On October 16, 1940, in Vernon, Texas, she was united in marriage to Reverend Ross Eugene Waller and to this union 2 daughters and 1 son were born.
Ross preceded her in death on September 25, 2001 after almost sixty-one years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a great-granddaughter, Raelyn Shifflett; a sister, Lillie Redick and two brothers, Jim and Elbert Riddlespurger.
Aumilda is survived by two daughters, Patsy McCrite and her husband Norman of Mansfield, Missouri and Sharon McIntosh and her husband Don of Macomb, Missouri; a son, Kenneth Waller and his wife Carolyn of Tuttle, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Steven McIntosh, Russell McIntosh, Carla Rush, Bruce McCrite, Eric McCrite, Holly Dodson, Debra Waller and Amy Shifflett. nineteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; a sister, Inez Wisti of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; a brother, Lloyd Riddlespurger of Amarillo, Texas as well as many nieces and nephews and other relatives and many friends.
Aumilda was born in Texas and moved to Frederick, Oklahoma at an early age where she graduated from high school. After marriage to Ross she was a very dedicated preachers wife who loved the Lord. She and Ross served the Lord in seventeen different churches in four different states during his ministry and was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church. They moved to Mansfield in 1986 to build and pastor Ross’s last church near Mansfield. After Ross became ill she also worked at the Mansfield Schools and Wright County courthouse.
She was a wonderful singer, great seamstress and cook and made the best fried pies. Her devotedness to the Lord, her husband and all of her family will always be remembered by all who knew her.
Aumilda was a very kind and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and many dear friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 6, 2010 in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Mansfield, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 7-8:00 p.m. Thursday evening in the funeral home.
Burial will be in Macomb Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Mansfield.
