Ava Lee Flint (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Ava Lee Flint, age 99, of Bolivar, Missouri passed away June 19, 2024, at Citizens Memorial Health Care Facility in Bolivar.
Ava was born September 16, 1924, to Billy E. and Dortha Six Jones and grew up on a farm west of Fair Play, Missouri.
She graduated from Fair Play High School in 1943. She attended Southwest Baptist College during the Summer months and taught school in the rural district for a few years.
Earl Flint and Ava Lee Jones were united in marriage on August 28, 1946. They made their home in Bolivar where he worked at Southwest Electric until he retired in 1982.
Ava worked at an insurance and real estate office until having a family of three daughters. Earl and Ava were members of First Baptist Church in Bolivar for a number of years.
Ava is survived by her three daughters; Karen and husband Steve Schmitt of Springfield, Missouri; Charlotte and husband Mark Curtis of Kansas City, Missouri, and Teresa and husband Marty Stump of Bolivar, Missouri; six grandchildren, Sarah Schmitt, Jeff Schmitt, Brett Stump, Michelle Boyer, Tyler Curtis, and Emily Akers; ten great-grandchildren; three nieces, Dorothy Margaret Fullerton, Carolyn Wilson, and Linda Goodwin; and one nephew, David Flint.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024, starting at 10:00 AM at the Greenwood Cemetery in Bolivar, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Polk County Humane Society.
