Barbara E. Burns' Obituary
Barbara Eunice Burns, daughter of Kelly Elsworth and Madeline Margaret Williams Edwards, was born March 19, 1940 in Camden County, Missouri. She departed this life Friday, June 6, 2008 in Lake Regional Health Systems, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of sixty-eight years, two months, and eighteen days. On June 1, 1956, Barbara was united in marriage to Bud Burns and together they have shared the past fifty-two years. She was preceded in death by her father; three sons, Kevin, Rick and Shawn Burns; and a great-granddaughter, Faith Marie McKinnon. Barbara is survived by her husband Bud of the home; a daughter, Vicky Leffert and husband Donnie of Linn Creek, Missouri; two sons, Keith Burns and wife Brenda and Rusty Burns, all of Camdenton, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Dusty Burns, Allen Leffert, Tony Burns, Trista Gunn, Kathy Burns, Brian Burns, Lydia McKinnon, and Zoey Burns; thirteen great-grandchildren; her mother, Madeline Webb, of Camdenton; two sisters, Janice McGuire and husband Gene, and Carol Beaman, all of Camdenton, Missouri; two brothers, Kelly Edwards and wife Kim, of Lebanon, Missouri and Brad Edwards and wife Chris of Camdenton, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews along with other relatives and many dear friends. Barbara was born in Camden County and spent most of her life here. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church and loved to attend whenever possible. In her spare time, Barbara enjoyed growing many beautiful flowers and cooking for her family. She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed attending family get-togethers and visiting with all of her relatives and friends. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, and sister, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she has created for her family and many dear friends. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2008, in the Decaturville Mssionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Burns Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6 - 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
