Barbara Keeton (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Barbara June Keeton, daughter of Cecil Andrew and Dottie Lou Ward Barker, was born June 7, 1959, in Marshfield, Missouri. She departed this life Saturday, June 13, 2015, in Mercy Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of fifty-six years, and six days.
She was united in marriage to Daniel Lee Keeton, who preceded her in death on November 14, 2000.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a great-grandchild, Jada Livinggood; and a nephew, Josh Barker.
Barbara is survived by two daughters, Crystal Barker, and LaDonna Barker, both of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Daniel Barker, and his wife, Beverly, of Phillipsburg, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Natalie, Madelyn, Alyson, Nicole, Avis, Jehovah, Cheyenne, Christopher, and Ashley; two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, and Chase; three brothers, Lloyd Barker, and his wife, Margie, of Bolivar, Missouri, James Barker, and his wife, Laura, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Raymond Barker, and his wife, Jessica Barker, of Grovespring, Missouri; seven sisters, Sue Boatman, and her husband, Pete, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Donna Starnes, and her husband, Danny, Missy Whitten, Louise Stewart, Linda Duncan, all of Leabnon, Missouri, Sarah Tabor, and her husband, Larry, and Judy Barker, all of Monett, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Laclede County, and attended school in Lebanon and Conway. She then made her home in the Lebanon area and lovingly raised her children. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her family, Barbara also worked as Certified Nurses’ Assistant for Home HealthCare and then for Christian Healthcare South in Lebanon.
In her spare time she enjoyed playing Bingo, and going to casinos, where she particularly liked playing the slot machines. She was a great lover of animals and had several parrots, Baby, Noah, Angel, and Jehovah, and four dogs, Mollie, Lollie, Dollie, and Sugar. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed having time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
