Barbara Orahoske's Obituary
Barbara Jean Orahoske was born June 22, 1951, in Ypsilanti, Michigan. She departed this life Wednesday, June 21, 2006, in Lake Regional Health Systems, in Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of fifty-four years, eleven months, and thirty days. On June 22, 1979, in Rochester, Michigan, she was united in marriage to David Andrew Orahoske, and together they shared the last twenty-seven years. Her parents preceded her in death. Barbara is survived by her husband, David, of the home; a stepson, David Edward Orahoske, and his wife, Kim, of Victorville, California; three sisters, Carol Criner, and her husband, David, of California, Judith West, and her husband, Chuck, of Florida, and Linda Beasley, and her husband, Norm, of Michigan; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was raised in Wayne, Michigan and graduated from high school there. She worked for twenty years at Sears until taking her medical retirement. She and David had made their home on the Lake of the Ozarks area for the last several years. She loved life on the Lake, being outdoors, and enjoyed camping, boating and skiing. She and David liked to go canoeing and had taken a float trip every year for eighteen years. She bore her illness with great courage and dignity and always kept her sense of humor. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she createdfor her family and friends. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2006, in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. Memorial donations to a fund established for the family may be made through the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
