Barbara Pine's Obituary
Barbara Marie Pine, daughter of William Wesley and Florence Ethel Carter Fulmer, was born March 31, 1922, in Conway, Arkansas. She departed this life Saturday, October 10, 2009, in Christian Health Care North, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-seven years, six months, and nine days. On November 11, 1944, she was united in marriage to Donald Frederick Pine, Sr., and to this union one daughter and five sons were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald, on December 28, 2003; two infant sons, Paul and James Pine; two brothers; and three sisters. Barbara is survived by three sons, Donald “Fred” Pine, Jr., and his wife, Barbara, of Willard, Missouri, James Harvey Pine, and his wife, Judy, of Joliet, Illinois, and Marvin Eugene Pine, of Lebanon, Missouri; a daughter, Cheryl Marie Thames, and her husband, Jerry, of Port Neches, Texas; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in the Conway, Arkansas area, and graduated from Conway High School. After she and Donald were married, they made their home in the Lebanon area and began raising their family. Throughout the years, Barbara was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family. Barbara was saved at the age of twelve and was a longtime member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Lebanon. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, working all kinds of puzzles, and was an avid reader. She was an excellent cook and was particularly well known for her no bake cookies, buttermilk brownies, and potato candy. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed all of her grandchildren. Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday October 13, 2009 at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri. Burial will be in Washington Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm until timeof service under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri. A memorial to the Christian Health Care Hospice has been established.
