She departed this life Friday, March 3, 2006, in Lake Regional Health System, in Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of fifty-nine years, two months, and four days. Her father and a grandson, Colt Stephan Wisdom, preceded her in death. Barbara is survived by two sons, Bradley Wisdom, and his wife, Kelly, of Barnhart, Missouri, and Eric Wisdom, and his wife, Rebecca, of Camdenton, Missouri; three grandchildren, Tristan Lee Wisdom, Courtney Jean Wisdom, and Brandon Wayne Wisdom; her mother, Kathleen Spencer, of Lexa, Arkansas; two brothers, Sandy Spencer, and his wife, Carol, of Lexa, Arkansas, and John Spencer, of Helena, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was raised in Oneida, Arkansas, where she graduated from high school. She then became a Licensed Practical Nurse and dedicated herself to taking care of others for forty years. She made her home in Arkansas, Tucson, Arizona, Redbud, Columbia, and Waterloo, Illinois and De Soto, Missouri before moving to Camdenton in 1987. She then moved to St. Louis in 2001, where she worked for the Little Sisters of the Poor. After coming back to Camdenton in 2005 she worked for the Ozark Care Center in Osage Beach. In addition to working as a nurse, Barbara was a devoted and loving homemaker to her family. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, and was a true movie junkie, especially liking Sci-fi movies. She centered her life around her work and her children, and also greatly enjoyed her grandchildren. Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2006, in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
