Barry Lynn Slack (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Barry Lynn Slack, age 56, died in his home in Buffalo, MO on August 2, 2020. He was a 1982 graduate of Buffalo High School. Barry went on to open his own business, Slack’s Small Engine. He then worked at Ground Source Systems until its closing. Barry was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 101 and worked in construction until he was diagnosed with cancer in 2018. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Some of his most memorable moments were spent hunting and fishing with family and friends. Barry was always ready to tell of his elk hunting trips to Colorado and spend lots of time talking about “his next trip.”
Barry was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Ray and Alice Slack; his sister, Paula Killian; and one brother, Larry Slack. He is survived by his brothers, Gary & wife Wilma Slack, Jerry & wife Lisa Slack, and Terry & wife Jenny Slack all of Buffalo, MO; brother-in-law, Stanley Killian of Buffalo, MO; his nieces, Regina & husband Duane Potter, Jeanette & husband Brian Welch, Kierra Payne and significant other Ron Nixon, and Jaime Slack and fiancé Charles Pruitt; his nephews, Justin Slack, Keaton Payne and fiancé Keli Adams, and Bryon Slack; his great nephews, Colton and Paden Rader and Emmit Payne. Barry had many other family members and friends who loved him dearly and will miss him greatly.
Cremation rites were accorded under the care and direction of the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo.
