I am so sorry for your loss. I was blessed to have Mr. Wahl as a teacher in junior high. He was a wonderful educator and person. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.
Betsy, Leah, and Julie,
I have fond memories of working with Barry at LJHS and LHS. He was a good story teller especially about his fishing trips, loved sunflower seed and there were enough shells surrounding his desk to prove it, and although he wanted the kids to think he was rough he had a heart of gold! It was my pleasure to have worked with him and call him a friend. May God comfort you during this very difficult time. Sincerely, LaRita Pope
Betsy, Leah, and Julie my prayers go out to you. I have so many wonderful childhood memories with you all. Barry was such a wonderful man, and will be missed by so many. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. -Courtney Snook
Barry Wahl was my favorite administrator with which to exchange a hard time. Usually this involved either politics or how I once overspent the summer school summer budget back in '96. Under that tough exterior was a very good soul. The last time I saw him was about six years ago when he and Betsy were taking their boat out of the Niangua below Bennett. I was *trying* to catch some fish but I had no idea what I was doing. It must have showed because Barry gave me his catch stating "I don't want to clean 'em." I think I responded with some quip about that making him just like Jesus. Rest in peace, friend.
Barry was a wonderful person to work with at LJHS. He was always willing to help. Sending heartfelt sympathy and prayers.
