Beatrice Caviness' Obituary
Beatrice Caviness, daughter of Floyd Sherman and Della Lee Gregory Webb, was born October 14, 1929, in Windsor, Missouri. She departed this life Tuesday, April 11, 2006, in St. John’s Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-six years, five months, and twenty-seven days. On October 17, 1954, she was united in marriage to Harold Caviness, and together they shared the last fifty-one years. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Floyd Webb, Jr.; and a sister, Rosie Laughlin. Beatrice is survived by her husband, Harold, of the home; a son, Don Hindes, and his wife, Denise, of Eldridge, Missouri; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Jack Webb, and his wife, Irene, of Leon, Iowa; two sisters, Betty Vandel, of Leon, Iowa, and Bobby Smith, and her husband, Wayne, of Van Wert, Iowa; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in the Windsor, Missouri community, and then moved with her family to Davis City, Iowa when she was a teenager. She moved to the Camdenton, Missouri area in 1953, and married Harold in 1954. For the next several years they made their home in various different locations while Harold worked in construction. They then made their home in the Lebanon community. Throughout the years, Beatrice was a devoted and hardworking homemaker to her husband and family, and enjoyed tending to her home and her yard. Beatrice had attended the Sleeper Pentecostal Church and loved reading her Bible. In her spare time she enjoyed caring for her variety of animals. Beatrice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 14, 2006, in Allee Memorial Gardens, Camdenton, Missouri. Friends may call at the funeral home at their convenience. Memorial contributions to American Cancer Research may be made through the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
