Becky J. Bumgarner (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Mrs. Becky Jane Bumgarner, age 58, of Bolivar, Missouri passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri.
She was born May 20, 1952 in Springfield, Missouri to Loran Jeff Cave and Mary Jane (Appleby) Cave.
Becky was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She married Roger Bumgarner on March 24, 1972 in Brighton, Missouri. Together they had two children.
Becky dedicated her life to her family and for most of her life was a full time wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. In 2003 she went to work for the Polk County Recorder of Deeds Office in Bolivar, Missouri. She was a faithful member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Bolivar.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Loran and Janie Cave, mother-in-law, Fay Bumgarner and a granddaughter, Madeline Bumgarner.
Becky is survived by her husband of 39 years, Roger Bumgarner of the home, one son, Jeff Bumgarner and his wife Ginger of Morrisville, Missouri, a daughter, DeAnna Sheets and her husband Victor of Branson, Missouri, three grandsons, Johnathon, Joshua and Jacob Bumgarner, a granddaughter, Emma Jane Sheets, many other family member and lots of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri with Reverend Danny Vance officiating. Musical selections will be “Consider the Lilies” and “Heaven’s Sounding Sweeter All The Time” being sung by Roger Bumgarner. Barbara Dotson will be playing prelude and postlude music for the services. Burial will follow at Robberson Prairie Cemetery near Springfield, Missouri. A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00pm Monday evening at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar. Pallbearers will be Jeffery Bumgarner, Victor Sheets, Randy Bumgarner, Gary Mitchell, Jerry Trantham and Bill Mattocks. Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnathon, Joshua and Jacob Bumgarner.
