In August of 1978, after Vernon’s passing, she returned to Hartville to help care for her family, affectionately known as the Spillman Girls. Throughout the years she loved having family get togethers to do canning, quilting, or just visiting over pie and coffee. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. Cooking for the family gave her great pleasure. She was an excellent cook and especially noted for her (sunshine) egg custard pie. She loved telling jokes and stories.
Bedia was a loving sister and aunt, and a treasured great and great-great aunt. We celebrate her life and honor her accomplishment, and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed and will forever live on in our hearts.
