Benjamin J. Diamond (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Benjamin Johnson Diamond, age 89, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on January 8, 2026. He was born on March 28, 1936, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, to Oral and Verneal (Johnson) Diamond. Ben was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Darrell Diamond; his daughter, Kelly Diamond; and his son, Kirk Diamond. On August 11, 2002, Ben married Lynn Koon, and together they shared many years of love, companionship, and laughter. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Diamond; his sons, Keith Diamond and Kenny Diamond; his stepchildren, Brent Sharp, Tresa (Hal) Ryan, Jody (Alisha) Sharp, Jamie (Amy) Sharp, Tanda (Mike) Banks, and Jonathan (Sarah) Sharp; and his sister, Danna Grosvenor. He is also survived by a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought him immense pride and joy. Ben retired after dedicated careers with AT&T and Douglas County, both in Colorado. In his retirement, he enjoyed woodworking, restoring and admiring classic cars, and indulging his well-known love for anything chocolate. He will be remembered for his craftsmanship, his curiosity, and the quiet joy he found in the things he loved. A private memorial service will be held at a future date.
