Bennie Joiner (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Bennie Hank Joiner was born December 14, 2003 in Lebanon, Missouri to Ben and Jessica Joiner. He passed away Sunday, March 22, 2026, at St. Luke’s East Hospital in Independence, Missouri. He was twenty-two years, three months and eight days of age.
Bennie was the oldest of seven children and loved his three brothers and three sisters. His sweet almond-shaped eyes and goofy nature captured the hearts of everyone. He attended school at Joel E. Barber and later attended Lebanon High School. In 2021, after a wild ride, he moved to Joplin, Missouri where he thrived with his independence. He graduated from Joplin High School in 2023. In 2025, Bennie moved to Independence, Missouri where he could get additional assistance.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Chris Moyle.
Bennie is survived by his loving parents, Ben and Jessica Joiner of Phillipsburg; three sisters, Bailey Cooper and her husband Jonah of the United States Marine Corp, Jessa Joiner and Natalee Joiner, both of Phillipsburg, Missouri; three brothers, Davis Joiner of the United States Marine Corp, and Jett Joiner and Bowen Joiner, both of Phillipsburg, Missouri; his maternal grandmothers, Susan Moyle of Lebanon, Missouri and Cathy Brantingham-Moyle of Arizona; his paternal grandparents, Bill and Carol Joiner of Falcon, Missouri and Betty Jones of Lebanon, Missouri; his special friend, Callie Hinderliter; and other relatives and friends.
Bennie loved Marvel, Star Wars, Jurassic Park, and Matchbox Cars. He enjoyed singing and he sang often and loud, many times making up the words as he went along. While attending school in Lebanon, he was especially fond of the Lebanon High School Wrestling team. He was very close to the members of the team and liked socializing with them. His favorite part was leading the team prayer.
He enjoyed watching movies, playing video games, listening to good music and eating good food. Bennie enjoyed life and everyone around him knew him. His love, charm, and loud singing will most certainly be missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his parents, Ben and Jessica Joiner of Phillipsburg; three brothers; three sisters; his grandparents; as well as other relatives and friends.
A visitation will begin at 5 p.m. and a time of sharing will commence at 6 p.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home.
A memorial has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
