Bernice M Schultz (Hartville)'s Obituary
Berniece Marion Zink Schultz, daughter of Oscar and Wondie Hayes Zink, was born November 24, 1925 in Waterloo, Iowa. She departed this life Tuesday, January 17, 2017, in Marshfield, Missouri at the age of ninety-one years, one month, and twenty-three days.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Louie; her sisters, Justine Newlon, Sylvia Love, Carldene Metcaff, and Vivian Newlon; her brother Kenneth Schultz; and her granddaughter, Michelle Schultz.
Berniece is survived by her four sons; Chester Schultz and his wife Ingeborg, Phillip Schultz and his wife Denise, Mike Schultz, and Douglas Schultz and his wife Kristy; one daughter, Mary Matney and her husband Larry; numerous grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephews, and friends.
Berniece was born and raised in Waterloo, Iowa and when she was a young woman she moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota. While she was there she met, and fell in love with Louie Schultz and the two would get married December 31, 1942. Berniece and Louie spent the next forty-five years together before Louie’s passing in 1988.
Louie and Berniece moved to Wright County, Missouri in 1947 and settled down. Berniece was a homemaker her entire life. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and word search puzzle in her free time, but none of that came close to the amount of time she spent raising and loving her five dear children.
Berniece was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. We celebrate her life and many accomplishments and will always cherish the many wonderful memories she created.
