Bessie Hanna's Obituary
Bessie Mae Hanna, daughter of Charley and Rosie Renfro Woody, was born June 18, 1910 in Douglas County, Missouri. She departed this life Thursday, December 20, 2007 in Rocky Ridge Manor, Mansfield, Missouri at the age of ninety-seven years, six months, and two days. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Lester and Otis Woody; and two sisters, Pernia Burke and Nola Adams. Bessie is survived by her son, Darrell Woody, of Mansfield, Missouri; a brother, Raymond Woody and his wife, Geneva, of Mansfield, Missouri; many nieces and nephews as well as many dear friends. Bessie was born in Douglas County, and lived most of her life in the Hartville and Mansfield areas. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing and spending time with family and friends. Bessie was a loving mother, sister and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she has created for her family and friends. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2007, in the Little Creek Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Mansfield, Missouri.
