Bessie E. Kenney (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Bessie Evelyn (Greer) Kenney, daughter of Joseph and Pearl Greer, was born on a train in the state of Texas on October 31, 1920, and departed this life on the morning of Sunday, January 29, 2023. She was at the time of her passing 102 years, two months, and 29 days of age.
Bessie was the oldest of four children and spent most of her childhood and young adult life in Nashville, Tennessee. This is where she would marry her late husband, Walter L. Kenney, and to this union was born one son and one daughter. The family moved to Florida in the early 1950’s. She was widowed in 1976, and then moved to Missouri with her mother in 1983 to be near her children.
Bessie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Diana Hall and Ray; son, Dan Kenney and Georgiana; one brother, Kenneth Greer; two granddaughters, Karri Halley and Glen, and Kelsi Hall; and one great-granddaughter, Delta Halley.
There will be a private family graveside under the care and direction of Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home in Buffalo, Missouri.
