Bette L Christiansen (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Bette Lou Christiansen, daughter of Clark and Rose Nelsen Christiansen, was born September 23, 1928, in Onawa, Iowa. She departed this life Tuesday, February 6, 2018, in Lebanon North Nursing and Rehabilitation, at the age of eighty-nine years, four months, and thirteen days.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Clark Christiansen, Jr.
Bette is survived by two brothers, Bob Christiansen, and his wife, Edna, and Richard Christiansen, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a sister, Phyllis Biederman, of Missouri Valley, Iowa; numerous nieces and nephews in Iowa and Missouri, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised on a farm in Iowa. She then moved to the Lebanon, Missouri area in 1948, at the age of twenty. She worked for Judge Davenport for a few years before going to work at Breech Hospital. She was a surgical assistant and then worked in the laundry department at Breech for over forty-one years.
Bette made her profession of faith in Christ early in her life and was a member of Community Baptist Church, in Lebanon, Missouri.
She had a passion for reading and possessed an enormous collection of books. She had a love for knowledge and continued to learn, through books, her entire life. She also enjoyed classical music.
Bette was a loving sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor, and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her eighty-nine years.
