Betty Ann Butts (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Betty Ann Butts, daughter of Ralph Harriman and Winifred Ann Hawley Butts, was born July 4, 1934, in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Sunday, July 31, 2011, following a lengthy illness, in St. Luke’s Hospital, in St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of seventy-seven years, and twenty-seven days.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Betty is survived by a number of cousins, including William Gorham, of St. Louis, Missouri, and Dr. Jim Don Butts, of Rolla, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.
She was born and raised in the Lebanon, Missouri area, and was graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1952. She then earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in English from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. After moving to Kirkwood, Missouri, Betty Ann taught English at Kirkwood High School for thirty years before retiring.
Betty Ann was raised in the First Christian Church of Lebanon, and maintained her membership there throughout the years,
She was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She was an expert in handwriting analysis and had been involved in numerous consulting engagements throughout the years. In her spare time she enjoyed playing golf and bridge, and also greatly enjoyed ragtime music.
Betty Ann will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of her friends and extended family.
