Betty Fipps' Obituary
Betty Ann Fipps, daughter of Willard and Gladys Cornwall Walters, was born, December 10, 1932 in Camdenton, Missouri. She departed this life, Wednesday, November 24, 2010, in Windsor Estates Care Center, Camdenton, Missouri at the age of seventy-seven years, eleven months and fourteen days.
She was united in marriage to Opal D. ?Poker? Fipps for many years. He preceded her in death on February 18, 1988.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Leonard Walters and two sisters, Maxine Durmann and Patsy Green.
Survivors include a sister, Rita Hatchel of Shawnee, Kansas; a host of nieces and nephews and many local special friends.
Betty was a life-long resident of Camdenton. She was a homemaker and help-mate to her husband. In the 1990, she operated a caf? off the square in Camdenton.
In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing crocheting and watching television. She and her husband always grew a vegetable garden. She was a good neighbor and loved by many in her neighborhood.
She was a loving sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, December 2, 2010 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4-5 p.m., Thursday in the funeral home. Private burial will be in Allee Memorial Gardens.
Memorial donations may be made to Dogwood Animal Shelter and left at the funeral home.
