Betty Hill (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Betty Kathleen Hill, daughter of the late Glenn Vincent and Katherine Ruenholl Longworth, was born, September 28, 1940 in Taylorville, Illinois. She departed this life, Friday, June 26, 2015, in Windsor Estates Care Center, Camdenton, Missouri at the age of seventy-four years, eight months and twenty-nine days.
On April 22, 1962 in Taylorville, Illinois, she was united in marriage to Jesse Hill and to this union two daughters were born. Together they shared forty-two years of marriage before his passing on May 26, 2004.
Survivors include her daughter, Suzanne Coe and husband John of Goldsboro, North Carolina and Cynthia Goldsby and husband Bruce of Camdenton, Missouri; three grandchildren, Jason Coe and wife Jennifer, Michelle Goldsby ad Jesse Goldsby; a great-granddaughter, Octavia along with several cousins and many friends.
Betty was raised in Taylorville, Illinois and was a 1958 graduate of Taylorville High School. She continued with her education and graduated from Alton Memorial in 1962 with a degree in nursing. She retired from Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, Illinois after many years of service.
Betty loved to dance. She had dreams of becoming a professional dancer, but chose instead to become a nurse. Anytime she had the opportunity to dance, she would. She loved going to the beach and collecting sea shells. Most of all, time spent with her family was precious to her.
She was a loving mother and grandmother and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.
