Betty Ruth Hufft (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Betty Ruth Hufft, daughter of Raymond C. and Bertha M. Shumate Brown, was born September 13, 1935, near Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Saturday, January 11, 2014, in Mercy Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-eight years, three months, and twenty-eight days.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her companion, Charles E. Tait; three brothers, Cecil, Johnny, and Junior Brown; and a sister, Margarette Gibbs.
Betty is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Eidson, and her special friend, Jimmy Burgess, and Florine Vaughn, all of Lebanon, Missouri; three brothers, Lee Brown, and his wife, Etta, Bob Joe Brown, and his wife, Patsy, and Bud Brown, and his wife, Nylene, all of Lebanon, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Pauline and Geneva Brown, both of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Lebanon area, and continued to live all of her life there. She was a devoted homemaker throughout the years, and also worked as a certified nurses’ aide at Christian Health and Rehabilitation Center North in Lebanon for many years.
Betty had made her profession of faith in Christ and had attended Tabernacle Baptist Church in Lebanon.
She enjoyed playing the guitar and had performed with a country band at one time. She had a great love for country music and for the guitar. She also enjoyed shopping in her spare time. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her nieces and nephews.
Betty was a loving sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
A Memorial has been established and contributions may be made through the funeral home.
