Betty Jacobs (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Betty June Jacobs, daughter of Ira H. and Rose P. Jennings Young, was born June 1, 1932, in Brice, Missouri. She departed this life Thursday, February 28, 2019, in Lebanon South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-six years, eight months, and twenty-seven days.
On October 4, 1950, she was united in marriage to Bobby Joe Jacobs, and to this union one daughter was born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobby, on October 30, 2009; two brothers, Ted Young and John Young; and three sisters, Connie Scott, Opal Boyle, and Hester Smith.
Betty is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Jacobs, of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; several cousins; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Lebanon, Missouri area. After she and Bobby were married, they made their home near Lebanon, and lovingly raised their daughter. Betty was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family throughout the years.
Betty loved music and was a talented pianist. She had played the piano at various churches in the area and appreciated the Pentecostal faith.
She was also a gifted artist and enjoyed painting and drawing. She loved flowers and her particular favorite was the iris. She enjoyed fashion, eating out, visiting and gossiping with her friends. Her family was very dear to her and she liked having time with her daughter, great-niece and cousins.
Betty was a loving mother, aunt, cousin, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
