Betty Morrison's Obituary
Betty Pauline Morrison, daughter of William Curtis McGuire and Mary Joyce (Mizer) McGuire, was born April 23, 1935, in Decaturville, Missouri. She departed this life Wednesday, November 29, 2006, in St. John’s Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-one years, seven months, and six days. On August 26, 1950, in Decaturville, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Jimmie Glen Morrison, and to this union one daughter and three sons were born. She was preceded in death by her parents. Betty is survived by her husband of fifty-six years, Jimmie Glen Morrison, of the home; a daughter, Dianne (Morrison) Sallee, and her husband, Steve, Lebanon; three sons, Jimmie Lee Morrison, and his wife, Brenda, Ronald Paul Morrison, and his wife, Connie, and Timothy Glen Morrison, and his wife, Lisa, all of Lebanon; ten grandchildren, Kelly Glenn Sallee, and his wife, Angie, of Atlanta, Georgia, Christopher Michael Sallee, and his wife, Meredith, of Wildwood, Missouri, Melissa Kaye Young, and her husband, Eric, of Lebanon, Missouri, Brinnon Lee Morrison, and his wife, LinLee, of Arnold, Missouri, Nicholas Joshua Morrison, of Nixa, Missouri, Samuel Joseph Morrison, of Lebanon, Missouri, Whitney Nicole Hill, and her husband, Sam, Timothy Ryan Morrison, Timothy Joseph Morrison, and Britney Dawn Morrison, all of Lebanon, Missouri; nine great-grandchildren, Andrew Christopher Sallee, Logan Noah Young, Landon Christian Young, Zachary Blake Eugene Young, Baby Morrison on the way, Benjamin Scott Morrison, Lily Francis Morrison, Conner Blaine Hill, and Baby Hill on the way; a brother, Paul McGuire, Lebanon; three sisters, Louise Brown, Colona, Illinois, Chrystal Looney, and Lois Knapp, and her husband, Bob, all of Lebanon; also a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a devoted homemaker and did home care for children and the elderly. She professed her faith in Christ at an early age, and was a member of the Lebanon Church of the Nazarene. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 3, 2006, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. Burial will be in the Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday evening from 7 - 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri. A memorial in honor of Betty Morrison has been established and contributions may be made through the funeral home.
