Betty (Miller) Nowak (Mansfield)'s Obituary
Betty Jo (Miller) Nowak, daughter of Virgil Miller and Lillie Brooks Miller, was born October 7, 1932 in Macomb, Missouri. She departed this life, Sunday, June 20, 2021 in Indianapolis, Indiana where she was under hospice care.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her only brother, James Norman Miller, and a special family friend, Ramey Gray, who was like a second father to her.
She is survived by a nephew, Larry James Miller of Palm Springs, California and her sister-in-law, Doris Miller of Mansfield, Missouri.
Betty was born and raised in Douglas County in the Macomb area. She attended a country school through the eighth grade, then graduated from Mansfield High School. Shortly after graduation, Betty rode a bus to Indianapolis, Indiana, where she worked 40 years for RCA before retiring. She continued living in Indianapolis for the rest of her life. Over the years, she made many trips back to Macomb to visit the folks.
Betty had great hope and trust in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and attended church faithfully as long as her health allowed.
Betty was a loving daughter, aunt, sister, and friend. We celebrate her life and cherish the memories she created for her family and friends.
Graveside services will be Friday, June 25, at 10 a.m. in Macomb Cemetery in Macomb, MO.
