Beulah Dennis (Mansfield)'s Obituary
Beulah Faye Dennis, daughter of Andrew and Della Matney Hannah was born May 21, 1917 in Seymour, Missouri and departed this life on May 26, 2013 in Mansfield, Missouri at the age of ninety-six years and five days.
She was united in marriage to Harold J. Dennis on August 17, 1933 and to this union three children were born. Harold preceded in her in death on July 18, 1993 just one month before they would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Orville, Ival and Troy Hannah; one sister, Ada; and a son-in-law, Bob Smith.
Beulah is survived by two daughters, Nina Lemons and her husband, John of Mansfield, Missouri and Mary Smith of Yukon, Oklahoma; a son, Kenneth Dennis and his wife, Lee of Mansfield, Missouri; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild as well as several nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.
Beulah grew up in the Seymour area and after she and Harold were married made their home in Mansfield. She worked at the Mansfield School for many years as a cook. Beulah was a wonderful cook and the grandkids loved to go to grandma’s to eat.
Kenneth and Lee and their family lived in Mansfield so Harold and Beulah traveled a lot when they were younger going to wherever the girls and their families lived including California, Colorado, Texas and Oklahoma. On their 50th wedding anniversary they went to Hawaii.
Beulah had made of profession of faith in Christ many years ago and was a longtime member of the Mansfield First Baptist Church. She always knew that the Lord was in control of her life.
Beulah was a kind and gentle person and will be greatly missed by the many lives she touched.
