Beulah G. Griffin (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Beulah Gladys Griffin, daughter of Bert and Roberta Morrow McClanahan, was born March 15, 1920, near Peace Mill, Missouri.  She departed this life Thursday, October 22, 2020, in her home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of one hundred years, seven months, and seven days.
On March 2, 1940, she was united in marriage to Ross H. Griffin, and to this union one daughter and three sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ross, on September 2, 1991; a daughter, Megetta Jones; and two brothers, Alva and Ralph McClanahan.
Beulah is survived by three sons, Max Griffin, and his wife, Joyce, Rex Griffin, and his wife, Jolene, and Paul Griffin, and his wife, Katie, all of Lebanon, Missouri; ten grandchildren, Marty, Jared, Kayln, Josh, John, Dusty, Adam, Alva, Terry, and Marcene; twenty-five great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Freida Humphreys, of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in Laclede County and graduated from Competition High School.  After she and Ross were married, they made their home on their farm, near Lebanon and lovingly raised their family.  Beulah was a devoted homemaker to her husband and children and also worked on their dairy farm until she was seventy years old.
Beulah was a longtime, faithful member of White Oak Pond Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was the churches oldest member and matriarch of the church.  Beulah attended services in her beloved church on the Sunday before her passing.  She had been a Sunday school teacher for over fifty years, and had sung in the church choir.  She was very active in the Women’s ministry for many years, and had served as the Synodical President of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church Women’s Ministry for several years.
She was also a member of the F.C.E. Clubs for many years.  In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, gardening and sewing.  She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed having time with all of her children and grandchildren.
Beulah was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a sweet and caring neighbor and friend.  We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2020 at 11 a.m. at White Oak Pond Cumberland Presbyterian Church, south of Lebanon. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in White Oak Pond Cemetery.
A memorial has been established to White Oak Pond Church.
