Beulah M. Mashburn (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Mrs. Beulah Marie Mashburn, age 94 of Bolivar, Missouri passed away on Monday afternoon, April 9th, 2012 at her home in Bolivar, Missouri.
She was born on October 9, 1917 in Polk County near Sentinel, the daughter of James Luther Payne and Lillie (Howard) Payne.
Beulah was saved at Sentinel Missionary Baptist Church and became a member there at the age of twelve. Upon moving to Bolivar from Ventura, California in 2000, she joined at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.
On December 23, 1934 Beulah married James Thomas Mashburn. To this union two children were born, Patsy and Gary. From 1934, they lived in Missouri and California at different times. In 1956 until 2000 in Ventura, California, then she moved to Bolivar. Tom passed away on July 9, 1993.
Beulah was a hard worker all her life on the Halfway farm, jobs in California and a wonderful homemaker, wife and mother, with lots of cooking and management skills.
Buelah was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers; Frank, Milton and Marvin Payne, and a sister; Neta Ragsdale.
Beulah is survived by her children; Patsy L. Jones of Willard, Missouri, and Gary L. Mashburn of Bolivar, Missouri, grandsons; Kyle S. Jones of Springfield, Missouri, Kevin L. Jones of Los Angeles, California, Judson Mashburn of Ventura, California, two step grandsons; Jeffrey Rhodes of Springfield, Missouri and Steven Rhodes of Bolivar, Missouri, one brother; James L. Payne and his wife Betty of Bolivar, Missouri, two sisters; Alivene Skinner of Bolivar, Missouri and Emma Breshears and her husband Don of Independence, Missouri, sister-in-laws; Gladys Emory of Bolivar, Missouri, Lucille Hildebrand and her husband Wayne of Ventura, California, Mary Mashburn and Jean Mashburn of Oxnard, California and many nieces and nephews.
