Beulah Mayab (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Beulah Fern Mayab, daughter of Elva and Alta Gorley Williams, was born May 21, 1932, near Orla, Missouri. She departed this life Wednesday, February 27, 2019, in her home, in Troy, Illinois, at the age of eighty-six years, nine months, and six days.
On November 12, 1949, in Hartville, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Lawrence Lee Mayab, and to this union one daughter and one son was born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence, on March 9, 2000; her infant son, Danny Lawrence Mayab, and several brothers and sisters.
Beulah is survived by a daughter, Sheila Jolley, of Troy, Illinois; a grandson, Tim Jolley, of Troy, Illinois; a sister, Sue Tabit, of the State of Ohio; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Orla community and graduated from Grovespring High School. After she and Lawrence were married, they made their home near Lebanon, and lovingly raised their daughter. Beulah was a devoted homemaker to her husband, and family and also worked as a cook for the Grovespring Schools. For the last few years, she had made her home with her daughter in Troy, Illinois.
Beulah had made her profession of belief in God and followed the Baptist faith throughout her life.
She enjoyed caring for her home and loved having her family around her. She was a wonderful cook and liked making special recipes for her family and friends.
Beulah was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
