My parents were friends with Paul and Agnes Butts. We spent many a summer vacation at Beverly Beach, Lake of the Ozarks, named after their daughter. I think I met Beverly once or twice during those times. Brings back a lot of fond memories.

Mrs. Eddings was such a unique teacher. She brought a generous sense of humor & a personal touch that was incredibly important to so many science students at CHS over the years. Like several other tributes on this page have mentioned, it didn't matter whether you were a new student who knew no one, infinitely baffled by the intricacies of organic chemistry, or simply a "lost soul" who couldn't quite find your way in the social scene of high school at that point in life, Mrs. Eddings was easily identifiable as a kind soul who would recognize you, teach you, and provide you a friendly daily touchstone when you needed it most. And I know from so many that knew her outside of education that these qualities were true in the rest of her life, also. Thank you so much for who you were, Mrs. Eddings, and may your family be blessed with the knowledge that you were loved by hundreds (if not thousands) of former students & colleagues.
Where do I begin- I lived next door to Mrs. Eddings throughout my high school years (class of 1975). This was my second home, Skip was the best friend a guy could ask for- we did a lot together and had times I will never forget and still think of often! Beverly was my "second mother" and I'll never forget the family's generosity they displayed towards me. If I wasn't over at Skip's eating fresh baked cookies with milk at the end of the day, I was canoeing with him on a Missouri or Arkansas river with Ron and Beverly leading our Explorer's group. Mrs. Eddings was not only a teacher, but made her students think about what they were learning. She always tried to get her students to understand the importance of why we were learning in her classroom and how it may be needed and applied to our lives down the road. To Skip, Christi and Daniel, I'm sorry for your loss. She is in a peaceful place now and great memories will keep her name and accomplishments known to many. Hope to see you on May 20. I’m at the point in my career that I reflect on those that have provided teaching and guidance along the way. To say the least, Mrs. Endings was one of those individuals. I loved science from an early age, but my interest flourished in her classroom as I took every HS science class I could (except botany)! In fact, when I was in the Galapagos this past November, I so often thought of her in that “living classroom”, and how she would have shared my love and passion. Dan, I’m thinking of you and your family, as there are some of us that remember you as coming along with the science class on the school bus. Thank you Mrs. Endings for the impact you had on so many of us, as we will continue your legacy!

Mrs. Eddings was my teacher at Camdenton High School class of 1990. She was an absolute gem! I remember some of the content, but mostly her hands on teaching and enthusiasm for her profession. What an impact she made upon me and many others! RIP Mrs. Ed!!
I was blessed to have Mrs. Eddings as a teacher while at Camdenton. As a new student, she was always kind and welcoming, and she continued to challenge all of her students while showing love and encouragement at the same time. I have fond memories of her, her classes, and her humor. After high school I went on to teach and have tried to reflect those same qualities in my classroom. She made quite an impact on me, as well as on all of her students. She will be deeply missed.

Mrs. Eddings was the teacher of my very first class at Camdenton High School, and I owe her so much! Being a new student, she assigned me to a locker with another new student, Brenda Dissen. I ended up marrying her brother, and we will be celebrating our 38th anniversary this summer! She was the best science teacher I ever had. Her classes were so much fun, but we learned so much due to her hands-on style of teaching. Rest in peace, Mrs. Eddings, your legacy continues...
I was a student of Mrs. Eddings (Class of 1982) and was lucky to reconnect with her in 2012 during the high school reunion. My family stopped by her house for a visit that weekend, and we have stayed in touch with cards, letters, and FB posts ever since. Her energy and love of life will always be a part of me.
