Beverly Ann (Emerick) Cornelison (Seymour)'s Obituary
Beverly Ann (Emerick) Cornelison passed away unexpectedly October 29, 2020, at her residence in rural Seymour, Wright County, Missouri. The second eldest of four girls, she was born July 12, 1955, to Roy Edward and Mable Alfreda (Owens) Emerick.
Beverly lived all her life between Seymour and Mansfield. She graduated from Seymour High School in the Class of 1973. After graduating, she ran M & S Package Liquor. She worked at H.D. Lee until they closed and then for a time at Price Cutter. For years, while raising her children, she worked as a forklift operator in the steel plant at Hutchens Industries. When they were grown, her focus changed to caring for her aging parents whom she loved dearly.
Family was most important to Beverly – her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her world. She sincerely enjoyed having company and to simply visit with family. Beverly loved her Pepsi and watching ‘soaps’ - a favorite daily ritual. Inspired by her daddy, she tried her hand at small farming including breeding and raising cattle. She attempted raising chickens but never mastered it – that was her daddy’s area of expertise.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Alfreda Emerick.
She leaves behind her daughter, Melissa ‘Missy’ Grabher and significant other, P.J. Matney, her son, Zackery Cornelison and fiancé, Cassidy Hickle; two grandsons, Darrian Hickey and his wife, Lillian, and Lincoln Cornelison, and her great-grandsons, Payton, Paxton, and on the way, Prezley Hickey; her special granddaughter, Jazzabelle; three sisters, Bonnie Emerick, Betty Emerick, and Barb Emerick; too many nieces, great-nieces, nephews, and great-nephews to count; and many more friends and neighbors.
Beverly will be dearly missed.
