Beverly J. Barrett's Obituary
Beverly Jean Barrett, daughter of James and LaVon Borden Wilson, was born August 1, 1933, in Kansas City, Kansas. She departed this life Tuesday, February 14, 2006, in Lake Regional Health System, in Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of seventy-two years, six months, and thirteen days. On November 12, 1971, in Jackson County, Missouri, she was united in marriage to John V. Barrett, and together they shared the last thirty-four years. Her parents, and a daughter, Sherree Baker-Weaver, preceded her in death. Beverly is survived by her husband, Vince, of the home; two sons, Richard Baker, and his wife, Cindy, of Peculiar, Missouri, and John Barrett, and his wife, Pam, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; two step-daughters, Pam Duke, and her husband, Derrick, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Becky Dedier, and her husband, Steve, of Atlanta, Georgia; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two brothers, James Wilson, and his wife, Karen, of Climax Springs, Missouri, and Robert Wilson, of Warsaw, Missouri; three nephews; two nieces; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was raised in the Westport area of Kansas City, Missouri, and graduated from Westport High School. She continued to make her home in the Kansas City area where in addition to being a devoted homemaker Beverly also worked in dentistry and did secretarial duties for a few years. After she and John were married, they made their home in the Climax Springs community. Beverly was raised in the Catholic faith and was a member of the Catholic Church. In her spare time she enjoyed life on the Lake and particularly going on boat rides. Her family was important to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren. Beverly was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2006, in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. Burial will be in the Dale Blair Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6 - 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
