Beverly Piper's Obituary
Beverly Ann Piper-Cowan, age 72, of Aldrich, Missouri passed away on Monday morning, May 16, 2011 at her home in Aldrich after a long battle with cancer.
She was born February 19, 1939 in Fairfield, Michigan to Harley Wilt and Gladys Burgin.
She was a beautician and founded Classic College of Cosmetology in Bolivar, Missouri. She currently owned Super Flea-Flea Market in Bolivar. She was the current Chaplain for the Local Christian Motorcyclist Association and enjoyed motorcycles. She worked in Jail & Prison Ministry and was going into Polk County Jail with Life After Meth Ministries. She was Salutatorian of her High School Class. She enjoyed singing country music and became a recording artist, composer and musician while working at the Pomme-de-Terre Opry in Pittsburg, Missouri early on in her career.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Jack Wilt, her sister Doris Stine, and her infant son, Gary Piper.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Steve Cowan of Aldrich, Missouri, four sons, David Piper and his wife Jessica of Bolivar, Missouri, Dennis Piper of Bolivar, Missouri, Mike Piper and his wife Marcia of Morrisville, Missouri, L. Dusty Piper and his wife Christina of Aldrich, Missouri, two grandkids she raised, Larry Piper Jr. of Aldrich, Missouri, and Mandy Taylor of Bolivar, Missouri, four sisters, Emma Mae Phenicie of Blissfield, Michigan, Lucille Bliesner and her husband Jim of Adrian, Michigan, Irene Cadmus of Tipton, Michigan, Marjory Boen of Springfield, Missouri, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm, Thursday afternoon, May 19, 2011 at Harvest Assembly of God in Fair Play, Missouri with Reverend Lyle Shaulis officiating under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri. Graveside service at Routh Chapel Cemetery with Reverend L. Dusty Piper officiating. A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00pm, Wednesday evening at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar.
