Bevne Roe (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Bevne Adele Roe, daughter of Matthew Curby and Arta Lenore Mertz Bertrand, was born, June 22, 1933 in Pittsburg, Kansas. She departed this life, Saturday, December 8, 2012, in her home, Camdenton, Missouri at the age of seventy-nine years, five months and sixteen days.
On June 15, 1933 in Camdenton, Missouri, she was united in marriage to David Lee Roe and to this union three sons were born. Together they shared fifty-nine years of marriage before his passing on May 1, 2011.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her sons, Gary Lee Roe and wife Sandra of Camdenton, Missouri, Richard Alen Roe of Denver, Colorado and Jeffrey Dennis Roe of Camdenton, Missouri; two grandchildren, Nicole Lee Roe and Matthew Lee Roe both of Camdenton, Missouri; two great-grandchildren, Beau Mason Preble and Kylie Nicole Preble; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Bevne was raised in Camdenton and was a graduate of Camdenton High School in the class of 1951. After her marriage to David, they lived in various places throughout the United States. She worked in catalog sales for Sears in Denver, Colorado for a number of years. She returned to Camdenton in 1986.
Bevne made a profession of faith and was a member of Community Christian Church in Camdenton.
In her spare time she enjoyed cooking. She enjoyed time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.
