Bill Brazeal (Mansfield)'s Obituary
Billy Newton Brazeal, son of Robert Huey and Leota Fern Newton Brazeal, was born May 11, 1938, in Mansfield, Missouri, and departed this life on Sunday, June 16, 2019, at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri at the age of eighty-one years, one month, and eight days.
On February 16, 1962, Bill was united in marriage to Lena Conley and to this union two children were born. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Angela, parents, and a sister, Betty Adamson. Bill is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lena; son, Happy Brazeal and Kathy Jacks of Springfield; three grandchildren, Michael Brazeal and wife, Ashley, of Greenwood, Missouri, Jocelyn Cox and husband, Zach, of Springfield, and Haden Adamson of Mansfield; great-grandson, Jack Brazeal and a great-granddaughter due in August, Kate Brazeal; other relatives and many, many, friends. He was born, raised and spent his entire life in Mansfield. He graduated from Mansfield High School in the Class of 1956. He was a lab tech for Producers Creamery in Cabool until 1968 and then started a thirty-two year career with the Missouri Department of Conservation retiring in 2000. Bill never met a stranger. He enjoyed visiting with everyone and always had a story to tell and sometimes stretched the story a little bit. In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, going to the lake and raising beagles. But his biggest passion was old cars. He had several nice classic cars over the years and enjoyed driving them in parades and going to car shows. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and will always remember the special and fun times we had together.
