Billie Kay Higdon's Obituary
Billie Kay Higdon, daughter of Harold and Collette Southern Fletcher, was born November 13, 1948, in Castle Rock, Colorado. She departed this life Wednesday, August 5, 2009, in St. John’s Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of sixty years, eight months, and twenty-two days. On September 9, 1973, she was united in marriage to Michael L. Higdon, and to this union one daughter and one son were born. Her parents preceded her in death. Billie is survived by her husband, Michael, of the home; a daughter, Kimberly D. Renova, and her husband, James, of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Patrick L. Higdon, and his wife, Donna, of Hampstead, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Mikaela, Angelica, Kevin, and Alanna; a sister, Connie Keas, of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in Colorado and then lived for a time in the Sacramento, California area. Early in her adult years, she worked as a school bus driver, but for most of her life she was a devoted homemaker and loving mother to her family. In her spare time she enjoyed being outdoors where her favorite activities were fishing and camping. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren. Billie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday August 8, 2009 at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Memorial Park. Visitation will follow service under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri. Return to top
