Billie J. McFarlin (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Billie Jean McFarlin, daughter of Sylvester and Jewell Goss Foresythe, was born March 18, 1935, in Monett, Arkansas. She departed this life Friday, January 15, 2021, in her home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-five years, ten months, and twenty-nine days.
On April 21, 1949, she was united in marriage to Kenneth McFarlin, and to this union two daughters and three sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth, on June 13, 2019; a daughter, Patsy Batson; two sons, Kenneth and Tom McFarlin; two grandsons, Justin and Joey Batson; a brother, Bobby McFarlin; and three sisters, Glenda Hoaglan, Maxine Brunenkant, and Deloris Sharp.
Billie is survived by a daughter, Janice Black, and her husband, James, of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Johnny Batson, of the State of Arizona; ten grandchildren, Levi Batson, and his wife, Cristie, Tony Black, and his wife, Ann, Daniel Black, and his wife, Karla, Amy Henson, and her husband, Robert, Lisa McFarlin, Laura Tobin, and her husband, Brian, Cody McFarlin, and his wife, Jaimie, Mandy McFarlin, Julie McFarlin, and Kenny McFarlin; eighteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles Foresythe, and his wife, Margie, of the State of Oregon; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Arkansas and then moved with her family to Arizona after her mother passed away. After she and Kenneth were married, they made their home in Arizona and lovingly raised their children. Billie was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family and also worked for the Lake Roosevelt Arizona Forestry Service at Tonto Basin National Park for over twenty years. She and Kenneth moved to Lebanon, Missouri four years ago.
Billie was a devout Baptist and followed the Baptist faith throughout her life.
In her spare time she enjoyed fishing and going on walks. She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Billie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her eighty-five years.
All services will be private and under the care and direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
