Billie Dean McKneelen (Hartville)'s Obituary
Billie Dean McKneelen, daughter of R. Dee and Mary Allen Murrell, was born April 3, 1930 in Wright County, Missouri. She departed this life Tuesday, January 1, 2013 in Marshfield Place, Marshfield, Missouri at the age of eighty-two years, eight months, and twenty-eight days.
On June 17, 1950, Billie was united in marriage to Laurence “Bud” McKneelen and together they shared fifty years of marriage until his passing on March 13, 2001.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and is survived by many dear friends.
Billie was born in Hartville and was a graduate of Hartville High School in the class of 1948. Following her graduation, Billie attended Draughon’s Business School in Springfield. She went to work for GMAC in 1949 as a Collections Correspondent and worked there for nearly forty years until her retirement.
She had accepted Christ as her Lord as a young girl during Vacation Bible School at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Billie and Bud had purchased a farm near Billie’s parents farm in the late 1960’s and moved to Hartville to make their home in 1972. They owned and operated the cattle farm for many years until Bud’s passing in 2001. Billie moved to Marshfield in 2010 to make her home and lived there until her passing.
Billie was a loving wife and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories she has created for her family and many dear friends.
