On December 16, 1947, she was united in marriage to Raymond A. Morrison, and to this union two daughters and one son were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Patricia; two brothers, Bub and Pat Spikes; and a sister, Robbie Juban.
Billie is survived by her husband of almost sixty-five years, Raymond, of the home; a son, Kevin Morrison, and his wife, Penny, of Lynchburg, Missouri; a daughter, Karen Wright, and her husband, David, of Hermitage, Missouri; five grandchildren, Brian, Bradly, Heather, MacKenzie, and Jack; six great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Braxton, Austyn, Nicole, Cash, and Myles; a sister, Molly Parker, of Little Rock, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Louisiana, and after graduating from high school, she worked as a telephone operator for several years. She met Raymond while living in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and they were married in 1947. From 1953 until 1973, they made their home in Spring Valley, California, where they lovingly raised their children. Billie and Raymond then moved to their dairy farm near Lynchburg, Missouri, and enjoyed their retirement years. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her husband and family, Billie also helped her husband in the operation of their farm.
Billie was saved at an early age, and had attended Plato Baptist Church and Pine Creek Baptist Church.
She was an excellent cook and greatly enjoyed preparing special meals for her family. She also liked going out to eat. She took great pride in her appearance and had a love for music. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Billie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them throughout the years.
