Billie Page's Obituary
Billie Josephine Page, daughter of Murten M. and Nellie May (Reddick) Smith, was born March 14, 1920, in Hartville, Missouri. She departed this life Friday, February 27, 2009 in Hartville Care Center, in Hartville, Missouri, at the age of eighty-eight years, eleven months, and thirteen days. On February 13, 1937, she was united in marriage to Luther E. Page and together they spent thirty-one wonderful years before his passing in 1968. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Zelda; her parents; two brothers, Don M. Smith and Jasper Smith; an infant brother and sister; five half brothers, Charley, Burvil, Andy, Bert, and Corbin; an infant half brother; a half sister, Edna Miller. Billie is survived by her nieces and nephews, Barbara Pettibone, and her husband, Marvin, of Hartville, Missouri, Don Smith, of Conway, Missouri, Faye Dahna, and her husband, Dennis, of Valley Center, Kansas, and Roberta Ford, and her husband, Donnie, of Camdenton, Missouri; a number of great nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Beulah Dahna, of Valley Center, Kansas; as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends. She was born and raised in Hartville and spent most of her life in Wright County, besides two summers she spent in Oregon. Besides being a devoted homemaker, she also worked for HD Lee Company for many years, helped on the farm and had worked as a waitress. Billie had made her profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Sunshine Church. She loved being around people and was always willing to help and cook for the church. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint sewing, and gardening. Billie was a kind and caring person with a big heart. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she has created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday March 5, 2009 at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home , Hartville. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday evening 7-8:30 pm at the funeral home under the direction of the Holman- Howe Funeral Home Hartville, Missouri.
